MOTHERS’ GUILD OF XAVIER COLLEGE PREPARATORY HOSTS 35TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY DINNER AND AUCTION

MOTHERS’ GUILD OF XAVIER COLLEGE PREPARATORY HOSTS 35TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY DINNER AND AUCTION

The Mothers’ Guild of Xavier College Preparatory will host its 35th Annual Holiday Dinner and Auction, A Night at the Nutcracker, on Saturday, November 10, 2007. The largest fundraiser for the Xavier Mothers’ Guild, this event began as a holiday craft boutique in 1968 and has evolved into one of the community’s most time-honored social traditions.

A Night at the Nutcracker will begin with a silent auction featuring over 400 items and culminate in a dinner and live auction. An estimated 1,000 guests will be in attendance, including current Xavier families, alumnae and friends of Xavier. The event will showcase the talent of Xavier students as the Honor Choir and senior members of the Dance Department perform throughout the evening.

“Xavier’s Holiday Dinner and Auction will be, as always, an absolutely magical, elegant evening,” said Kathryn Piskulick, Xavier parent and Chairwoman of the event. “We look forward to welcoming current families, alumnae, and the community to Xavier’s campus to participate in festivities that benefit a great cause.”

All proceeds from A Night at the Nutcracker will go toward final debt repayment on Xavier’s Virginia G. Piper Performing Arts Center. Live auction items include a foursome of golf at the exclusive Olympic Club in San Francisco, and a private cocktail event at the newly designed Tiffany & Co. at Scottsdale Fashion Square. Other unique auction items include highly coveted parking spaces on the Xavier campus, as well as a final opportunity to dine with the BVM Sisters in the original Convent before they move to their new home.

Invitations may be obtained by contacting Lynne Love at 602.808.9000. For additional information, a full list of auction items, and donation opportunities, please visit the event website at http://xcp.maestroweb.com or contact Chairwoman Kathryn Piskulick at 602.234.3141.
