LYNNE LOVE JOINS XAVIER COLLEGE PREPARATORY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

LYNNE LOVE JOINS XAVIER COLLEGE PREPARATORY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

(Phoenix) – Lynne Love has been appointed to the Xavier College Preparatory Board of Trustees, according to Board President Tom Roberts, President and Chief Executive Officer of Opus West Corporation.

“The Board is extremely pleased to have Mrs. Love join us,” said Tom Roberts. “Her commitment to Xavier and to volunteerism throughout the Valley is incredible.”

Sister Joan Fitzgerald, Principal of Xavier, agrees. “The Xavier community is grateful for the dedication and leadership that our Board members provide,” she said. “Their active service on behalf of Xavier makes it possible for the school to fulfill its Catholic mission.”

Mrs. Love has played an instrumental role in the Xavier Mothers’ Guild Scholarship Fashion Shows, serving as the 2008 and 2009 advisor/creative director, 2007 chairwoman, 2006 co-chairwoman, and initiating the partnership between Xavier and Saks Fifth Avenue for the show. She has taken leadership roles with the Xavier Mothers’ Guild Holiday Dinner and Auction, Xavier/Brophy Project Graduation, and has served as a Xavier Fund Homeroom Parent. She and her husband, Mark, also serve on Xavier’s Legacy of Leadership Campaign Cabinet.

Mrs. Love’s involvement outside of the Xavier community extends to the 2009 Arizona Heart Ball, Arizona Kidney Foundation Women’s Board, National Charity League – Camelback Chapter, and the Symphony Ball. Mrs. Love was the 2008 co-chairwoman of Key to the Cure for the American Cancer Society and, most recently, she has been chosen as a 2009 Trendsetter for the Trends Charitable Fund.

Mrs. Love holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from Michigan State University and enjoyed an advertising/marketing/public relations career in both Michigan and Arizona. Additionally, she is the former principal/owner of La Plume, a custom pillow design and manufacturing business. Mr. and Mrs. Love have two daughters. Sarah graduated from Xavier in 2007 and Mara is a member of the Xavier Class of 2010.

The Xavier College Preparatory Board of Trustees is responsible for the school’s institutional advancement and strategic vision. The Board is led by Tom Roberts and Vice-President Earl Petznick, who is President and Chief Executive Officer of Northside Hay Company.
