R. CRAIG COPPOLA JOINS XAVIER COLLEGE PREPARATORY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

R. Craig Coppola has been appointed to the Xavier College Preparatory Board of Trustees, according to Board President Tom Roberts, President and Chief Executive Officer of Opus West Corporation.

“The Board is extremely pleased to have Mr. Coppola join us,” said Tom Roberts. “He brings extensive skills and a deep commitment to stewardship to the Board, and we look forward to his contributions during an exciting time for the school’s future.”

Sister Joan Fitzgerald, Principal of Xavier, agrees. “The Xavier community is grateful for the dedication and leadership that our Board members provide,” she said. “Their active service on behalf of Xavier makes it possible for the school to fulfill its Catholic mission.”

Mr. Coppola is a Founding Principal of Lee & Associates Arizona and has been awarded the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties Office Broker of the Year six times in the past thirteen years. In 2003 he was named the NAIOP Chapter President of the Year, the highest personal honor given by the largest real estate development trade association. He has earned the top three designations in the commercial real estate industry: CCIM, CRE and SIOR. Only 35 people worldwide hold all three designations.

In 2008, Mr. Coppola served as the United Way Tocqueville Society Chair and began serving on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce. He is a Past Chairman of the Southwest Chapter of CRE and Past President of the Central Arizona CCIM chapter, and is also a charter member of the Arizona State University MBA Dean’s Council.

Mr. Coppola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Nicholls State University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University. A third generation Arizonan, Mr. Coppola and his wife, Tracy, have four children. Their daughters, Katherine and Kellie, are members of Xavier’s Classes of 2009 and 2011 respectively.
