“THAT GIRL!” SHINES AT XAVIER COLLEGE PREPARATORY ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FASHION SHOW

“THAT GIRL!” SHINES AT XAVIER COLLEGE PREPARATORY ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FASHION SHOW

The Mothers’ Guild of Xavier College Preparatory proudly announces the success of the annual Scholarship Fashion Show, That Girl! The event was held on Sunday, March 9, drawing a crowd of over 1,000 current families, alumnae, friends of Xavier and Valley fashionistas. All proceeds from the event support the Xavier Scholarship Fund.

The Westin Kierland Resort and Spa was transformed into a retro That Girl!-themed atmosphere complete with soaring kites, colorful graphics, bows and bubblegum. Guests were greeted as celebrities on the “pink carpet”, and the runway featured a pink city skyline. The fashion show featured both Saks models and Xavier and Brophy students from the Class of 2008, showcasing spring’s most compelling apparel and accessories.

“We are so grateful for our continued partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue in support of educating Arizona’s young women,” said event chairwoman Jennifer Carmer. “The professional runway show featuring the ‘Best of Saks’ added so much to the event. The crowd left the show ready to jump into spring fashion, and students of great promise will benefit from the Xavier scholarships that proceeds from this special event create.”

“The energy of the Xavier and Brophy senior models was incredibly contagious,” said Elise Bard, event co-chairwoman. “Guests were charmed by the students’ talent and enthusiasm. They cheered, laughed and even wiped away tears of joy throughout the performance.”
